Its a Yellow Cupcake Wedding!!

Congratulations to Dana & Warren!

For they will be married on April 16th, 2011!
And guess what?!

Ruthless Bakery is doing their wedding cupcakes!!! :D

I am very pleased to have the honour of making something so wonderful. I just love weddings!
On this just past Tuesday I had my first cake testing. I think it we stupendous!

We all drank tea and ate cupcakes! I couldn't have asked for a better day and result from it.

So the story goes like this... I went to this market a few weeks ago and met a very lovely lady who just happened to need cupcakes for her son's wedding! I was so pleased that we met the way we did. I believe its fate. :)
The lovely bride just happens to also be American and from the East Coast! Has to be fate. Haha!

Since she's using yellow parrot tulips. She requested the cupcakes to be yellow. A lovely spring colour for a spring wedding! :)
I decided to make 3 different cakes and 3 different frostings for the cake testing.
But to keep the decoration simple but elegant.

This is what I came up with...
White Chocolate Cupcakes Topped w| Vanilla Italian Meringue

These came out so good that they just have to go on the menu! Melted white chocolate folded into the batter and then baked for 16 mins. Perfect, soft, moist, decadent.

Maple Buttermilk Pancake Cupcakes w| Maple Buttercream
(I did something a little extra with these as you'll see later down in this blog)

Well the tag says it all! :) These are already on the menu but I just love these so much.

In the end the lovely couple went with the oh so delicious White Chocolate cakes match up with the even more oh so delicious Vanilla-Coconut Buttercream. Yum! :)

I had so much fun at the cake testing. And I am looking forward to making the wedding cupcakes!
Oh and I also have an official website! yay! Go and check it out!

Oh and the maple cupcakes...
That's right boys and girls... That would be bacon! Us American's like to get messy with our food. But honestly there isn't anything like mixing salt and sugar! Yum!

Okay till next time my sugar babies!
